Green Anaconda Vs King Cobra Size Comparison So, the reticulated python is slightly longer than the green anaconda. The reticulated python, on the other hand, is considered to be the longest snake in the world, with some individuals reaching lengths of up to 10 and 14 feet (3-4.2 m) and weight of 124.738 kg (275.00 lb). The green anaconda is considered to be the heaviest snake in the world, with some individuals reaching lengths of up to 3 m to 4.6 m (9 ft 10 in to 15 ft 1 in) and weighing as much as 100-150 pounds. Both are known for their impressive size and length, but how do they compare to each other? When it comes to large snakes, two species that often come to mind are the green anaconda and the reticulated python. Green Anaconda Vs Reticulated Python Size Comparison It is truly a massive creature and it’s not hard to see why they are considered as one of the largest snakes in the world. If you were to stand next to an adult green anaconda, the top of its head would likely be taller than you, and its body would be as wide as a human torso. An adult green anaconda can be up to 2-3 times longer than the average human. When compared to a fully-grown green anaconda, humans are quite small in comparison. The average adult human is about 5.5 to 5.9 feet tall and weighs around 132 to 176 pounds (60 to 80 kgs). But just how big are they compared to the average human? Have you ever imagined what it would be like to stand next to a giant green anaconda? These massive snakes are truly impressive creatures, with some reaching lengths of up to 3 m to 4.6 m (9 ft 10 in to 15 ft 1 in) and weighing as much as 100-150 pounds. This means that a baby green anaconda is only about 2.5% of the size of a fully grown adult. When green anacondas give birth, their babies are usually around 20-30 inches in length, which is quite small when compared to their adult size. These massive reptiles can grow up to an impressive length of up to 30 feet and weigh as much as 550 pounds.īut, have you ever wondered about the size of a baby green anaconda? Well, believe it or not, these majestic creatures start off their lives at a relatively small size. Green Anacondas are considered one of the largest and heaviest snake species on Earth. They can eat animals as large as a deer or a small crocodile. This is proportionally larger than other snakes, and it allows the anaconda to swallow prey whole. In fact, the head of a Green Anaconda can measure up to 30 centimeters in length. The Green Anaconda is known for its massive size, and its head is no exception. They have a dense network of muscle and a thick layer of fat, which provides them with buoyancy in the water and helps them to conserve energy. Their weight is distributed throughout their long, bulky bodies, which is well-suited for their aquatic lifestyle. The average weight of a Green Anaconda is around 100-150 pounds, with females being significantly heavier than males. While its length is impressive, its weight is even more so.Īs mentioned earlier, the Green Anaconda, Eunectes murinus, is considered to be the largest snake in the world by weight, with some individuals reaching over 250 pounds. When it comes to size and weight, the Green Anaconda is truly in a league of its own. However, the record length for a Green Anaconda is 30 feet (9 meters) long. This size difference is common among many snake species and is known as sexual dimorphism, where males and females have distinct differences in size and/or coloration. Specifically, in terms of their length, on average adult male Green Anacondas typically reach lengths of around 3 m (9 ft 10 in), while females are significantly larger and can reach lengths of up to 4.6 m (15 ft 1 in). They are considered to be the largest snake in the world by weight, with some individuals reaching lengths of up to 30 feet and weighing over 250 pounds. The Green Anaconda, Eunectes murinus, is a non-venomous snake that is found in the swamps, marshes, and slow-moving rivers of South America. The Green Anaconda, also known as the common anaconda, is a snake that can make even the bravest of individuals quiver in fear with its massive size and strength. Over time, Crust expanded beyond pizza to include Italian specialties like pastas, arancini with marinara, sub sandwiches and burgers. In 2017, Crust Tremont expanded into its current spot, a meticulously renovated historic building at 2258 Professor Avenue that it shares with Visible Voice Books and Proof BBQ. ( Cleveland Leader, 1.25.18) toppings are fresh and combinations contemporary. "The house-made, hand-tossed crusts have a modest rise, a pleasant chew and a delightfully crispy base from the deck ovens. The care put into these pizzas starts with the dough, which is handmade every day and allowed to slowly ferment and rise, and everything is made from scratch daily." (The Daily Meal's " 101 Best Pizzas in America for 2017") ""Crust, which has two Cleveland locations, may look like your standard slice joint, but it’s anything but. "Creative pies and truly giant slices." (Thrillist's " The Best Pizza Joints in Cleveland Right Now," 10.13.17) The meats were delicious and fresh, and I just really enjoyed every bite." ( Cleveland Rocks, Cleveland Eats, 8.15.17) Like the pizza, the subs are also quite substantial. "As good as the pizza is, I really like their subs. Pizza is amazing and the subs are great." (Foursquare's "15 Best Places for Pizza in Cleveland," 8.17.18) "Crust would not be out of place in Chicago or NYC. "Eaten cold or warmed, this pizza tastes awesome." (Beard & The Broad, 6.13.18) "With 4.5 stars out of 188 reviews on Yelp, Crust has proven to be a local favorite." (Hoodline, 6.19.18) We believe this new approach is at a tipping point where more and more companies will join the pioneers who are already riding this wave. In its place, a new form of organization and management has been slowly emerging. Many organizations have recently decided that this approach is ill-suited to today’s complex challenges, and especially ill-suited to the host of societal demands companies must now consider. They were geared toward preserving stability, scale, and predictability with a focus on maximizing earnings for shareholders, and they paid little attention to the broader-often unintended-impact of their actions. The answer to those questions can’t be divorced from the answer to another one: What does an organization that thrives during such unstable times look like? For decades, organizations were designed and managed for an industrial environment. How should leaders navigate this moment? What does leadership look like in an era where turbulence and disruption are the norm? How we live and work is being constantly reinvented by advances in technology and the emergence of generations who were “born digital.” Globalization and geopolitics are shifting the world’s tectonic plates. The climate crisis, global health challenges, and changes in social values are upending individual priorities. We are living through an era of unprecedented challenges and opportunities. Studies on effective atomic numbers for photon energy absorption and electron density of some narcotic drugs in the energy range 1 keV-20 MeV Effects of nuclear line emission on the continuum and of higher energy electron bremsstrahlung are considered to explain the spectral hardening. The results show that the spectral shape varies from flare to flare and the spectra harden in energies above about 400 keV. The flares were observed with a hard X-ray and a gamma-ray spectrometers on board the Hinotori satellite. Solar flare photon energy spectra in the 20 keV to 7 MeV range are derived from the Apr. Observations of solar flare photon energy spectra from 20 keV to 7 MeV We conclude that the use of an energy window set on the photopeak of 284 keV and the multi-pinhole collimator may permit I-131 imaging for a preclinical CZT-SPECT system that does not have the ability to acquire images using the 364 keV photons. Furthermore, the uptake of NaI-131 to the thyroid gland for the two mice was clearly identified in the 3D-SPECT image fused with the X-ray CT image. However, a good linear correlation between SPECT values and the level of I-131 radioactivity was observed. The measured spatial resolution was relatively poor (~1.9 mm for full width at half maximum and ~3.9 mm for full width at tenth maximum). Although higher counts occurred at the peripheral region of the reconstructed images due to the collimator penetration by the 364 keV photons, the shape of the small line sources could be well visualized. Small line sources and two mice, one of each of two types, that were injected with NaI-131 were scanned. An energy window for I-131 imaging was set to a photopeak of 284 keV with a low abundance compared with 364 keV photons. The imaging system used was a commercially available preclinical SPECT instrument with CZT detectors that was equipped with multi-pinhole collimators and was accompanied by a CT imager. The aim of this study was to investigate the possibility of imaging I-131 using its 284 keV photons instead of its 364 keV photons in a small animal SPECT imaging system dedicated to the detection of low-medium- energy photons (below 300 keV). Since that principal gamma ray has the relatively high energy of 364 keV, small animal single- photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) imaging systems may be required to possess the ability to image such higher energy photons. Iodine-131 is widely used for radionuclide therapy because of its β-particle and for diagnostic imaging employing its principal gamma ray. Whilst all these results were obtained under specific and controlled lab settings, this does begin to paint a picture of UVC’s potential role in fighting the spread of Coronavirus. Similarly, though, artificial UVC light can damage the genetic material of bacteria and viruses, including, potentially, the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19. But conventional germicidal UVC light cannot be used directly to destroy airborne viruses in occupied indoor spaces because it is a potential health hazard to the skin and eyes. This study found that exposure to UVC light inactivated this type of coronavirus ( Darnell et al., 2004). Scientists have known for decades that a type of ultraviolet light known as UVC light rapidly kills microbes, including bacteria and viruses. This results in an inactive virus (Perdiz, 2000).Ī team set out to specifically test this phenomenon on SARS-CoV, a strain of Coronavirus that first had an outbreak in 2002. Scientifically speaking the UVC light is absorbed by RNA and DNA bases, causing photochemical fusion of pyrimidines, leading to the bases being unable to then pair together. By destroying the section of DNA responsible of its replication – the virus is no longer able to infect or spread.Ĭoronaviruses are strikingly similar in the way they replicate and their genome organisation (Siddell, 1995) and we can therefore predict with relative confidence that UVC will kill new strains of Coronavirus in much the way it does in the below studies. As for its ability to kill COVID-19 germs Well, that’s not so well-established. Germicidal UVC light (254.7nm) is proven to stop all viruses (including Coronavirus’) replicating and therefore spreading. UV light has been used for decades (yes, decades) to reduce the spread of bacteria, such as that which causes tuberculosis, according to the U.S. To make matters worse, the probe is severely damaged by a disastrous impact with a passing meteoroid swarm. Now that you’ve built your first couple macros, let’s take a look at some of the other available triggers that you can use to activate macros on your Mac. There are a ton of potential trigger actions available in Keyboard Maestro. This could be as simple as switching windows or ejecting USB devices, or as complicated as running scripts or creating spreadsheets. “What do I find myself doing repeatedly on my Mac?” The key question you need you ask yourself before implementing Keyboard Maestro into your workflow is: We’ve just given you several examples of how you can put Keybaord Maestro to work for you, but you’ll really start to see the benefits when you customize this to fit into your specific workflow. Instead, Keyboard Maestro gives you a sophisticated palette of very powerful tools that you can use in many different ways. The App Store is full of applications that are designed do one specific thing, and Keyboard Maestro doesn’t fit into this mold. Keyboard Maestro is an incredibly powerful application that can do just about anything, but this makes it a little bit difficult to implement sometimes, because it doesn’t have a specific, specialized use case scenario. Note that if you use web apps, you can do the same thing with web apps by selecting the “Open a URL” action (useful for things like JIRA or Basecamp). Repeat for any other apps you want to automatically open Select the app you want to launch when you connect to your work WiFi (e.g., “HipChat”)ĩ. Select the “Open” category and double-click “Open a File, Folder, or Application”Ĩ. Type the name of your wireless network or select it from the drop down menu and select “Is Connected” for the stateħ. Click the “+ New Trigger” button and select “Wireless Network Trigger”ĥ. Name your macro (something like “Work Time”)Ĥ. Click the “+” button under the “Macros” sectionģ. Let’s walk through creating your first macro in Keyboard Maestro together:Ģ. If you don’t already have it, you can download Keyboard Maestro here. For example, if you open a certain set of applications or browser windows when you get to work in the morning, you can automate the whole process using Keyboard Maestro, so when you open your computer you’re ready to get to work. This could be something like a hotkey combination, connecting to a wireless network, or even connecting a specific USB device to your Mac. For those of you who aren’t familiar, macros are actions that can be activated by triggers.īasically, Keyboard Maestro automatically performs certain actions whenever a particular trigger is activated. These macros can be used to automate just about any repetitive task, like navigating running applications, opening documents, managing text, and controlling web applications. Keyboard Maestro is (simplest definition) an application to launch macros on your Mac. In this article, we’ll introduce you to Keyboard Maestro and show you some of the awesome things you can do with it to automate your Mac and become #AsianEfficent. While it may not seem like it’s for you until you really start using it, once you do you’ll find yourself wondering how you survived so long without it. Keyboard Maestro is one of those tools that, like TextExpander (which we’ve written about previously), can justify switching from PC to Mac because of how easy it can make repetitive tasks. There are a number of applications that we recommend here at Asian Efficiency that make the Mac an excellent platform from a productivity perspective. Improved Tracker Detection Announced for Androidĭuring the 2023 Google I/O Keynote, Google announced that Android will launch Bluetooth Tracker detection for devices that may be “following” you that you aren’t aware of. We are glad two of the major players are taking steps to right this wrong. We’ve seen some improvements in detection since the AirTag was released, but a world in which survivors of stalking and abuse need to download a separate app for every type of physical scanner is not a solution that scales well. They're also open to third-party developers even more devices will be built with trackers in them in the future. Tile recently announced it will work with Amazon’s Sidewalk network, which means that there will be three major networks of location trackers. Tiles had a smaller network of users, but iPhones created a billion plus device network for AirTags to function in. However, both networks work similarly to integrate a range of device peripherals such as earbuds and smartwatches. While Tiles predate AirTags, Apple introduced a wider spectrum of trackers by integrating it within its Find My network (not to be confused with Android’s own Find My Device network). We have been calling for an industry-wide standard for detection of this transient hardware to prevent stalking and other abuse, and this would greatly improve the ability of both Android and iPhone devices to detect unwanted trackers without additional apps. That’s why we are enthusiastic about the effort between Apple and Google to release a draft specification on a detection protocol for these devices. Location trackers like Tiles and AirTags aren’t just a helpful way to find missing luggage or a misplaced wallet-they can also be easily slipped into a bag or car, allowing stalkers and abusers unprecedented access to a person’s location without their knowledge.
